MGL Wealth Management Ltd Hosts Successful Charity Golf Day in Partnership with Mitchell’s Grievson Chartered Accountants
MGL Wealth Management Ltd, in collaboration with Mitchell’s Grievson Chartered Accountants, proudly hosted a successful Charity Golf Day on Friday, 24th May 2024, at the stunning Headlam Hall Country Hotel and Spa in Darlington. The event brought together golf enthusiasts for a day of friendly competition and fundraising, with all proceeds going to Children with Cancer Charity.
The golf day kicked off with a shotgun start, with six teams of four golfers each competing for the coveted trophy under Texas Scramble rules. The competition was fierce, with participants also vying for top honors in two "Nearest to the Pin" challenges.
The winning team, captained by Nigel Rea of Mitchell’s Grievson Chartered Accountants, delivered an impressive performance. Nigel's team, which included Martin Carruthers of Lloyds Bank and Mitchell’s valued clients Tony Clark and Martin Cummins, showcased exceptional skill and determination on the course. It was clear that Nigel had his sights set on victory, and his team did not disappoint.
In addition to the main competition, the event featured a special prize draw for a 6-month membership generously donated by Headlam Hall. The draw added an extra layer of excitement to the day and helped raise additional funds for the charity.
The "Nearest to the Pin" competitions were won by Tony Clark and Gary Malsbury, both of whom demonstrated remarkable precision with their outstanding shots.
Headlam Hall proved to be the perfect venue for this event. The course was in immaculate condition, and the hospitality provided was second to none. Participants and guests alike praised the quality of the food and the exceptional service, making the day not only enjoyable but also memorable.
