Based in Bishop Auckland, I’m a Chartered Financial Planner who provides Wealth management advice to clients across the North of England.
Prior to establishing my company I have always worked in the financial services industry. I spent 18 years working for Lloyds banking group working in personal banking, commercial banking and as a Financial planner. As a consequence, I have now established many working relationships with individuals within this sector due, in part, to the insight and understanding that I have for their specific financial requirements – whether these be personal or corporate needs.
As well as advising individuals, I have a strong background of advising business customers including agricultural clients who I specialised in for many years. Fundamentally I see my approach as one of problem-solving for the client - rather than product-selling. As a result, my clients can expect to receive the most comprehensive and appropriate advice at all times.
I am committed to ensuring that my industry knowledge remains relevant and current by placing strong emphasis on my personal development and I am focused on continuous study. This, along with the pride and dedication that I place on developing solid personal relationships with my clients, ensures that I am able to offer a rounded, professional and principled service.
I have achieved Chartered Financial Planner status from the Chartered Insurance Institute. This is the industry’s gold standard for financial planners, and is currently held by only a select number of individuals and firms in the UK. It is primarily afforded for commitment to developing and maintaining integrity, professionalism and knowledge, and signifies adherence to a challenging ethical code of practice.
Since achieving Chartered Status I have committed to further self improvement and achieved Fellowship of the CII. Fellowship is regarded as the premier designation for those working in the insurance profession and further demonstrates knowledge, experience and professionalism.
Outside of my business, I enjoy running, football, travelling and spending time with my friends and family.
Charity is also important to me and I have run both the Great North run and London Marathon for the MS society and Children with Cancer in 2016. I supported the Children with Cancer again in 2017 by running the London Marathon also.
